Police have arrested a York man on suspicion of drug offences.
The arrest took place this morning (Wednesday) at the man’s flat in the Clifton area of the city, after numerous packages containing controlled drugs were stopped at the border.
Officers searched the suspects flat and located a large amount of cannabis, a significant amount of cash and dangerous bladed weapons.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The male will spend the day with us in custody answering some questions, whilst we conduct further enquiries.”
