Police are investigating an incident in York that caused ‘shock and disgust’.
It happened on Walmgate, near the junction with Hope Street, at about 10pm on Wednesday 12 February.
Two women were approached by a man who asked them for the time.
Incident location
“He then spat at the women, causing shock and disgust,” a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
“We are appealing for information to help identify this man.
“He may also be responsible for a similar incident earlier that evening in the Foss Island area.”
The man was white and wearing a black hooded puffer jacket.
