Ten live acts are lined up for the fest at The Blacksmiths Arms in Naburn between Friday, July 25 and Sunday, July 27. Tickets cost £5 for the Friday night, and £10 on the Saturday and Sunday.
Fickle Lily, a jazz, country and blues five piece band kick off proceedings at 6.30pm on Friday.
Five different acts take to the outdoor stage on Saturday from 12.30pm.
There’s more music on Sunday, and the is brought to a close with a performance by American pianist Hans Chew, in Naburn as part of his UK tour.
That’s the boogie, what about the beer? Cask ales available will include Pedigree, New World Pale Ale, Old Empire from the Marston’s stable, Jennings Cumberland, Wychwood’s Hobgoblin, Old Thumper and Boondoggle by Ringwood and Banks’s Sunbeam.
There’s plenty of good honest grub available too, from pie and peas to hot dogs.
“We originally thought of doing a cask ale festival and then struck up a relationship with a music agent who now provides regular entertainment to us,” said licensee Maria Taylor, who has been at the Blacksmiths Arms for nine years.
“So we decided to combine the two and the Beer and Boogie Festival was born. It’s something that the whole community can enjoy, even the local farmer has arranged free parking for us!”
