A top York tipple starred on TV this weekend.
Mad Alice Bloody Orange Gin appeared on Love Your Weekend With Alan Titchmarsh on ITV on Sunday.
Food writer Jonathan Phang used the York Gin spirit to make a Breakfast Martini cocktail as part of the ‘Best of British’ slot.
Jonathan described it as an “amazing gin – it’s bright and fruitful and fabulous”.
Comedian and actor Alan Davies, who starred in QI and Jonathan Creek, was a guest on the show and said “it’s really delicious”.
Natalie Hall, director of York Drinks Ltd owner of York Gin, said: “The programme’s producers contacted us out of the blue in January and said they specifically wanted York Gin for their drinks slot.
“It’s always brilliant to get national exposure for our gin. And it’s lovely to see the hosts and guests loving York Gin.”
The gin is a collaboration with award-winning tour guide Alicia Stabler of Mad Alice’s Bloody Tour of York.

The special edition York Gin wasn’t due on shelves until Halloween – but appearing on national TV convinced bosses to make a special batch earlier than planned.
It’s now available in the York Gin shop and on the York Gin website.
Natalie said: “The website has been a bit busy after we appeared on ITV. Maybe we’ll make another batch – after all we don’t want to disappoint anyone who fancies a Mad Alice Bloody Orange gin!”
