City of York Council are investigating after a street light caught fire.
Firefighters went to the incident at 12.42am today (Sunday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire control received a number of calls from residents in an area reporting a fire to the side of a house.
“Upon arrival this was found to have been a street light attached to a property which was on fire.
“The crew used a dry powder extinguisher to tackle the fire and the incident was handed over to York council.”
