Police have issued a warning after two men were seen trying car door handles in one area of York this morning (Sunday).
They were caught on CCTV in the early hours attempting to gain access to unlocked vehicles in the Rawcliffe area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Please ensure that you check that your vehicle is locked and secured when not attended and that all valuable are removed.
“In the event of any suspicious persons being sighted please do not hesitate to call 999.”
It comes a week after thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to a car on The Garlands, Rawcliffe.
It happened at around 2.30pm on Sunday, 12 January.
