York City’s next two games have been postponed due to the weather.
City were due to travel to Maidenhead United tomorrow (Saturday, 11 January). But the National League fixture has been called off as the pitch is frozen.
City posted this update: “A pitch inspection on Friday morning deemed the York Road surface unplayable, with conditions not expected to improve.
“More details regarding a new date will be released in due course.
“All tickets purchased for this game will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled fixture.
“If you are unable to attend the new date when announced, please contact [email protected] to arrange a full refund.”
This afternoon, the club has revealed that City’s game at Rochdale this Wednesday (15 January), due to kick off at 7.45pm, has also been postponed.
The club said: “Due to issues with the playing surface along with the recent weather conditions, our game at the Crown Oil Arena this midweek has been postponed, and we will now head across the Pennines in March to face the Dale.”
The game has been rearranged for Tuesday 25 March.
