York MP Luke Charters has made a Christmas visit to UK forces in Estonia.
During the visit, arranged as part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme, Luke received briefings on Operation Cabrit – the UK’s contribution to NATO’s Forward Land Forces in Estonia and Poland.
He also met the British Ambassador to Estonia as well as serving British and Estonian personnel.
The York Outer MP said: “It was an honour to meet our troops in Estonia to thank them and wish them a Merry Christmas.
“It was a privilege to see Op Cabrit in action, and see firsthand the British Army’s contribution to NATO through the Enhanced Forward Presence in Estonia.
“I’m sure everyone in York will join me in wishing our entire armed forces community a very Merry Christmas, particularly those who will be overseas during the festive period.”
Luke plans to continue his work on the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme in 2025, where he will continue visiting barracks across the UK, as part of learning more about life in our armed services.
