East Yorkshire buses have issued an update for those planning on using one of their services for Christmas shopping.
The number 18 bus, which runs from Holme on Spalding Moor to York Piccadilly, will no longer be stopping inside the Designer Outlet.
Instead of the current St Nicholas Avenue stop, the bus will stop a short walk away, at Persimmon House.
The reroute will come into effect tomorrow, from Wednesday 4th December until Friday 27th December.
East Yorkshire Buses say that the changes have been done to make journeys smoother and more reliable.
An East Yorkshire Buses spokesperson said: “We know the festive season brings excitement and challenges, and we understand that traffic, particularly on Fulford Road and around the Designer Outlet, has caused delays.
“To make your journeys more reliable and enjoyable, we’re introducing some changes”
There have been further adjustments to the schedule, including changes to the route departing from York.
Departures from York at 10:40, 12:20, 15:50, and 18:00 will divert via Walmgate, Lawrence Street, Hull Road, A64, and Fulford Interchange, before resuming regular stops.
