Rail passengers travelling south from York today are facing delays.
Train LNER operator said on X: “Due to the theft of signalling cables between York and Doncaster, trains have to run at reduced speeds on all lines.
“Train services running through these stations may be delayed.”
National Rail says there are delays of around 15 minutes on these services.
It comes on top of disruption to journeys between Selby and Doncaster.
A points failure in the Selby area was reported late last week.
Network Rail engineers are working to resolve the problem however significant repairs to the faulty points are required.
Hull Trains and LNER services between Selby and Doncaster will be cancelled, revised or diverted.
Disruption is expected to continue until Sunday 17 November.
Please note that Northern and TransPennine Express services that run through Selby are unaffected by this disruption.
