Direct from its triumph in the West End where it won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is a unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s most iconic love story.
Men, money and microphones will be fought over in this irreverent but affectionate adaptation where the stakes couldn’t be higher when it comes to romance. This multi-award-winning production features a string of pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and You’re So Vain.

101 Dalmatians
The smash hit musical 101 Dalmatians is coming to Grand Opera House York, starring Kym Marsh (Coronation Street, Hear’say) as the greatest villain of them all, Cruella De Vil. When fashionista Cruella de Vil plots to swipe all the Dalmatian puppies in town to create her fabulous new fur coat, there’s trouble ahead for Pongo and Perdi and their litter of adorable, tail-wagging young pups. Dodie Smith’s classic canine caper is brought to life on stage with spectacular puppetry, show-stopping choreography, witty songs and irresistible puppies!

Join us for a night of entertainment with Live music from Phats & Small and award winning DJ Ryan Swain. A giant exhibition of media arts to celebrate the city’s 10th anniversary as the UK’s only UNESCO City of Media Arts. In a first-of-its-kind event in the UK, the three day expo will celebrate York as a global stage for film production, games development, VFX, publishing and design.
