A massive monster tentacle installation is taking over York city centre this week.
If you’re wandering down Parliament Street you might spot giant inflatable tentacles emerging from the Big Wheel and the Visit York Information Centre.
The installation is part of Visit York’s autumn and Halloween campaign, and the sprawling spectacle can be seen in Parliament Street from Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November.
The temporary installation consists of vibrant, ‘otherworldly’ tentacles twisting around buildings and the Big Wheel on St Sampson’s Square – and will certainly make you stop for a closer look!
Other spooky shenanigans from Visit York and Make It York on Parliament Street include Halloween-themed tree lighting and a carnival featuring games like ‘Hook a Skeleton’ and ‘Smash a Pumpkin’.
There’s also an Owl Trail in Shambles Market that’s perfect for families to explore. If you find all ten uniquely designed owls then you’re in with a chance of winning a wizarding prize! Find out more here.
