Wanting a night in the town but not a big drinker or taking on the sober October challenge this year?

York is home to a variety of pubs but what if you are in the mood for a mocktail?

Here are some suggestions on a fun sober night out in York.

Evil Eye

Evil Eye on Stonegate is well worth a visit with a charming bar hidden behind their gin emporium.

Looking deceptively small from the outside, it has loads to offer with every floor having different decor.

Sober October could not be easier with Evil Eye as they offer a staggering 26 mocktails priced at just £5 each.

So, if you are in the mood for a Pi-Nada Colada or an Aperol no Sprits then Evil Eye should be on your list.

The Botanist

The Botanist on Stonegate is home to some delicious non-alcoholic mocktails paired with live music and a selection of food.

These include the mind mojito, house lemonade, rhubarb and blackberry cooler and a tropical tonic with prices starting from only £6.25.

The Lowther

Located on the river front on Cumberland Street with riverside seating and student deals, The Lowther is a good spot for a sober outing.

They offer a selection of drinks as well as coffee and cake for £3.50.

The riverside pub offers a 2-for-1 cocktail deal for only £12 that includes a range of cocktails such as a river breeze, pineapple passion and a kinder special all available as a mocktail option.

Keystones

Keystones is the perfect pub for an alcohol-free night – and it puts on entertainment every Thursday night.

They host a Keystones speed quiz from 8pm accompanied by live music until 11pm.

An offer of classical, floral, and fruity non-alcoholic friendly drinks to satisfy all tastes are on offer.

Drinks start at £2.50 for students and they offer meals from £6.

Revolution

Riverside bar Revolution is known for its unique cocktail menu, and happy hour from 3-9pm Sunday to Friday.

They have five mocktails to choose from and a select few are a 0% alcohol spin of the iconic Revolution creations such as the Rum Bull and the Strawberry Woo Woo.

This bar turns into a nightclub as the day goes on, which is perfect if you are looking for a change of atmosphere.
