A car ended up on its side after a crash on a main North Yorkshire road this afternoon (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the incident, on the A168 Dishforth to Thirsk, at 4.17pm.
The road was closed and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance also attended.
Fire crews from Ripon, Thirsk and Bedale were involved in rescuing the occupants of the car.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews stabilised the vehicle and removed the windscreen as the car had come to rest on its side and two people were trapped.
“Crews helped to extricate the occupants of the vehicle who were then handed over to ambulance crews.”
No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.
