If you see smoke coming from York Minster this evening, there is no need to panic, say North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
You don’t have to call 999 either – because they will already be at the scene.
They have posted on social media that they are holding a training exercise this evening between 6pm to 9pm.
Fire crews will be there, along with emergency services vehicles.
They say that to help make the exercise more realistic for the attending crews, cosmetic smoke will be used.
