Get a true taste of Bavaria in York this October – and the chance to enjoy a free pint!
House of The Trembling Madness, Lendal, is offering an authentic Bavarian experience for Oktoberfest this year – as they’ll be serving all six official Oktoberfest beers direct from Munich.
On Tuesday 1 October at 1pm, the York pub will kick off celebrations with a ceremonial keg tapping, where York town crier Ben Fry will be opening the first keg of official beer.
The six beers will be available from the moment of tapping until supplies run out – and the first 25 people to order a pint of an Oktoberfest beer will get it for free!
There are more opportunities to get a free beer too, as the pub will be launching an exclusive Oktoberfest loyalty card. If you collect all your stamps throughout the Oktoberfest period by trying all six of the official beers then you’ll earn yourself a free house beer in November.
Amanda Monaghan, from House of the Trembling Madness, Lendal, said: “We’re over the moon to have got our hands on this liquid gold straight from Munich!
“It feels like we’ve smuggled a bit of Bavaria into York. We can’t wait to pour these beers into steins and let the festivities begin.”
To add to the celebration, the venue will also be serving a special Oktoberfest inspired menu of tasty Bavarian dishes – such as pork schnitzel, currywurst, beer sausage stew, warm pretzels and apfelstrudel.
Don’t miss your chance to experience a genuine taste of Munich’s legendary beer festival, right here in York.
And hurry, as the beers will only be available until they sell out!
