A York estate has reopened following the fatal stabbing there yesterday.
Police lifted the cordon to Bellfarm Avenue at about 4.15pm this afternoon (Sunday).
It means all of the Bell Farm Estate is accessible again to both traffic and pedestrians.
All of the streets leading from Bell Farm Avenue were sealed off from early on Saturday morning after a violent attack left a man dying in the street.
It was to allow a crimes scene investigation team to complete their analysis of the crime scene.
Today, a small police cordon remains. There is a police guard on one house in Roche Avenue.
And a house further down the same street, together with a stretch of pavement, is also behind police tape.
Two police vehicles, including an operational support unit, were still on nearby Byland Avenue this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a man with stab wounds at 4.45am yesterday morning.
The man, in his 30s and from York. was taken to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
Last night detectives last night put out an appeal to find a suspect, aged 33. Later that night they revealed he had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Another man, also 33 and from York, was already in custody on suspicion of affray.
