Police were called to reports of a man threatening people with a weapon in a York street on Saturday morning (27 July).
They went to Lawrence Street at about 11.30am.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with multiple offences following an incident in York over the weekend.

“We received a call reporting that a man was in possession of a weapon and making threats on Lawrence Street.
“Officers attended and a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon and affray.
“He was interviewed and charged with affray and assault. The man was remanded in custody.”
