The countdown to Christmas is on – oh yes it is! – as we met the cast of Beauty and the Beast at the Grand Opera House York.
The cast are looking forward to bringing all the festive fun to the city in what they promise will be a beast of a pantomime.
It stars Tracy Beaker legend Dani Harmer as the magical Fairy Bon Bon, and West End favourites Jen Caldwell and Samuel Wyn-Morris as the titular Beauty and the Beast.
The cast also includes Phil Atkinson as Hugo Pompidou, Leon Craig as Polly La Plonk, Phil Reid as Louis La Plonk, and David Alcock as Clement.
Beauty and the Beast is at the Grand Opera House from Saturday 7 December 2024 to Sunday 5 January 2025.
Take a look at our video where we chatted with TV star and BAFTA award-winning actress Dani Harmer to find out more about the show.
“I’m so excited because I’m the biggest fan of Beauty and the Beast,” said Dani.
“The last time I was in York I never got the chance to explore the city properly so I’m super excited to be back – it’s so beautiful here, so I can’t wait.
“You should definitely come and see Beauty and the Beast because it’s the most magical story. It’s fabulous, come and see us!”
The festive family pantomime is being brought to York audiences by UK Productions, and promises to bring a larger-than-life range of characters together with side-splitting comedy, stunning sets, costumes and an award-winning script by Jon Monie.
Tickets for Beauty and the Beast are already on sale, starting from £15 and available via the Grand Opera House website.
