Two stolen vehicles, including a road roller, were recovered by police after a chase last night (Thursday).
Police were called to reports of a burglary at an industrial address in the Selby area at around 9.50pm.
A JCB road roller was stolen.
Officers located and pursued a 4×4 vehicle that was towing a trailer with a roller on it.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The driver tried to make off on foot. But out officers and a police dog quickly found him and he was arrested in connection with the incident.
“A man in his 20s from the Doncaster area was taken into custody and we have launched an investigation which remains ongoing.”
The 4×4 involved is also believed to have been stolen from the Midlands.
