Fire crews responded to a loud bang in Selby last night (Sunday).
Firefighters from York and Selby went to investigate at a commercial site on Bawtry Road at 9.37pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews carried out a thorough investigation and found the cause to be a fire within a drying system.
“The fire had self extinguished on the arrival of fire crews. A fixed drencher system was put in place by on site staff, under the supervision of fire crews, to extinguish the remaining embers.
“Crews carried out a thorough inspection of all relevant areas with on site staff using a thermal imaging camera. The incident was left with staff.”
