YorkMix is on tour! Come and say hello as the YorkMix broadcast bus journeys around Selby district ahead of the big festivities.
YorkMix Radio will hit the road this Friday (19 April) ahead of Selby Residents’ Festival 2024, taking place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April.
YorkMix Radio’s Victoria Charles, along with Mixie the Monster, will be taking the bus out to discover what’s happening for the festival this weekend in Selby, Tadcaster and Sherburn while broadcasting live on air – with giveaways and competitions too!

The YorkMix broadcast bus will be travelling to:
- 10:00 – Carlton Towers
- 11:15 – Sherburn Aero Club
- 12:15 – The Barn, Tadcaster
- 13:00 – Riverside School, Tadcaster
- 14:00 – Arms Skipwith
- 14:40 – Selby College
- 15:25 – Selby Community House
- 16:00 – back at YorkMix, Selby Superbowl
The roadshow is a preview to the wide variety of places to discover and events to take part in as part of the Selby Residents’ Festival, which encourages you to be a tourist in your own town.
Some of the fun includes Selby Abbey doing behind the scenes tower tours, the Skylark Nature Reserve in Drax is open all weekend to explore, you can make your own village postcard at Sherburn Community Library, Selby Superbowl are offering bowling for £5 (pick up a voucher from the YorkMix bus) – and much more!

The YorkMix bus will also parked in the Market Place in Selby on Saturday 20 April as part of the festival and farmer’s market – with YorkMix Radio presenter Eliza broadcasting live from 10am to 2pm.
