It has been like old times on Coppergate in York as it allowed two-way traffic again today (Sunday).
The planter that blocked the inbound lane at the Clifford Street end was removed to allow cars as well as cycles to travel down the carriageway.
But this is just a temporary arrangement, while Piccadilly is being dug up.

Roadworks at the Pavement end of Piccadilly meant the road will be shut all day today (Sunday, 14 April) and up until 6am tomorrow.
And at 6am tomorrow, Coppergate will return to being a one-way street for cars, but two-way for cyclists.
The street was first turned one-way as part of emergency measures to give pedestrians more space during Covid restrictions.
A consultation was then held on making the traffic order permanent. In this, 51% of respondents wanted Coppergate to go back to two-way traffic.
But City of York Council made it a permanently one-way street in spring 2022.
