Police are investigating hate-fuelled crimes directed at a teenage girl in the Acomb area of York.
It happened between 11.30am and 12.10pm on Wednesday, 28 February.
The girl was on the top deck of the number 4 bus travelling between Blossom Street and Chaloners Road when the abuse began.
The victim, a teenage girl, was subjected to threats of violence and a tirade of transphobic personal comments.
An item was taken from the victim who was chased from the bus by the suspects.
The suspects included a boy and three girls all aged around 15. All four have been identified with two girls having already been arrested and released on conditional bail.
Now investigating officers are appealing for the public’s help.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses who may have been aboard the number 4 bus during this incident or who may have been present on Chaloners Road as the victim was chased from the bus.”
