One of the drivers involved in a crash in York has suffered ‘potentially serious injuries’, police said today (Thursday).
YorkMix reported how Huntington Road was closed for several hours yesterday after the two-car collision near the Cats Protection centre.
It happened at about 3.30pm. Fire crews removed a door from one of the vehicles to rescue the driver.

A collision investigation is now underway.
In today’s update, North Yorkshire Police said the crash involved a Vauxhall Insignia and a Ford Fiesta.
A force spokesperson said: “The driver of the Ford was taken to York Hospital for treatment for potentially serious injuries.”
