Calling all book lovers – start off your New Year with a day of literary delights as the York One Day Book Fair returns.
There will be over 100 booksellers from across the UK in attendance, with a wide selection on offer from various genres, such as fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, secondhand and rare books, maps and more.
The York One Day Book Fair will take place at the Knavesmire Suite, York Racecourse on Saturday 13 January.
Whether you’re a casual bookworm or a dedicated book collector, you are sure to discover some hidden treasures – perhaps even rare editions or signed copies that are waiting to be found.
There will be something that will suit every bibliophile’s tastes and budgets.
The bi-annual book fair is organised by the Provincial Bookselling Fairs Association, and the smaller one day event takes place ahead of the York National Book Fair – which is held annually in September.
There will be a free shuttle bus to and from the fair, which will run for the duration of the event. It will depart from the Memorial Gardens Coach Stop on Station Road. Refreshments will also be available all day at York Racecourse.
Admission on the door is £2, or advance complimentary tickets can be booked through Eventbrite.
