The York Dungeon will reopen tomorrow (New Year’s Day / Monday).
It has been closed for the last couple of days after water from the flooded River Ouse got into the building.
But the Clifford Street attraction says it will be ready to welcome visitors again, making a positive start to 2024.
It said on social media: “We’ve dried out and will be reopening our doors tomorrow, 1st January.
“We plan to start 2024 as we mean to go on… judging. See you then, peasants!”
The team offered free walking tours for people with pre-booked tickets while the Dungeon was closed.
And everyone who missed out would be able to re-book.
