York Mind have launched their first ever festive family fun run – the Mental Elf 5km.
The event will see participants dressed up as elves for a day filled with joy, wellness, and community spirit – all while raising funds for better mental health in York.
The Mental Elf 5km event will take place at York Knavesmire on Sunday 3 December 2023.
The fun run will start at 12pm, but particpants are encouraged to arrive by 11am to allow ample time to collect their runner’s number and participate in the warm-up activities.
The event welcomes participants of all abilities and ages, so whether you prefer walking or running, the route offers something for everyone.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
As well as the fun run, there will be some festive family treats on offer too – like kids activities, festive games, bake sale, and even a visit from Santa.
York Mind are also looking for volunteers for the event! Find out more about volunteering opportunities here.
