A brand new bar and grill is set to open in York next week.
Blue Heaven at 32 Coney Street will specialise in ‘authentic’ Lebanese food.
The building has had a complete transformation inside and out, with a sophisticated and modern look.
It was previously home to The Perfume Shop for over a decade.
Blue Heaven is owned by Islam Elzokm and if all goes to plan will be open by the end of next week.
The Blue Heaven website states that the restaurant will ‘showcase the essence of Lebanese cuisine.’
It says that the dining experience will be ‘reminiscent of the traditional campfires where Lebanese gastronomy thrived.’
The bar and grill will serve up a range main dishes and hot and cold smaller plates.
From the grill there’s a selection of skewers (beef £16, lamb liver £14.50, kofta £15.95, chicken £16, shrimp £14.95), lamp chops (£17), chicken wings (£14.50), and more.
There’s Blue Heaven classic dishes such as shawarma (from £14), mandi chicken (£14.50), and bamieh bil lahme (okra cooked with cubes of lamb, £15.50).
Main dishes come with salad and sauce, and your choice of rice, couscous, chips, naan or garlic bread.

Per the planning application, the restaurant will operate over two floors with a bar area, salad bar, al fresco courtyard dining and the main restaurant.
The bar has a wide range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks available – including cocktails!
Cocktails start from £8.25 and the menu features classics such as Negroni, Mojito, Pina Colada, Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini.
