Witches, cyclists, children’s TV favourites and even computer game characters made it onto the streets of Haxby this Bank Holiday weekend.
They were the stars of the eighth Haxby and Wigginton Scarecrow Festival. Hundreds of families headed to Haxby, paying £2 for one of the scarecrow trails.
All the money raised went to the Martin House Children’s Hospice “Good Night’s Sleep Appeal” and other local charities.
