A pedestrian suffered a head injury after being hit by a car in York today (Monday).
He was discovered in Paragon Street at 11.34am by a fire officer.
The man, aged about 40, had suffered a head injury and potentially a fractured elbow.

A fire crew from Acomb went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The driver of the car was suffering from shock.
“Crews provided first aid until the arrival of ambulance crews, when the male casualty was transported to hospital for treatment via road ambulance.”
