Police have arrested a man after what they described as ‘unacceptable behaviour in our city’.
They received multiple reports from members of the public in York city centre yesterday afternoon (Friday) about the behaviour of a man “who was standing on top of street furniture, speaking through a loud hailer”.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Our officers attended, and a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
“Thank you to passers-by who contacted us with their concerns.”
