The Friends of Rowntree Park are once again launching their project ‘Art in the Park’ – and are asking for local artists to submit their work.
For 2023, the theme will be based around ‘Rowntree Park through the seasons’.
The theme is open to interpretation, and the art work will be displayed in the centre of the park through summer and autumn this year.
Artists are asked to register interest using the online form and the deadline for final submissions of work is 30 June 2023.
A variety of art styles have been on display in the park in past years – including mixed media, printing, textiles, painting and more.
Abigail Gaines, Friends of Rowntree Park charity manager, said “Park users have highlighted ‘Art in the Park’ as one of their most loved projects that the Friends run.
“‘Art in the Park’ is a great opportunity to highlight the work of talented local people to a wide number of park users.
“It is so interesting to see the park through artists’ eyes and I’m excited to see what this year’s submissions include!”
