Emergency service crews are responding to an incident in York city centre this evening (Monday).
Fire crews, police and ambulance crews have responded to the incident on Tanner Row / Toft Green in large numbers.
This is a separate incident to the one on Aldborough Way off Leeman Road.
Residents said the 999 crews came racing into the street at about 6pm.
There is no word yet about the nature of the incident, but it appears to centre on an apartment which is part of the York Aparthotel on Toft Green.
Police officers have been looking into the apartment.
While the road is not sealed off, only pedestrians and cyclists can get through because of the emergency service vehicles parked on both sides.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service Incident Response Unit is at the scene, one of four ambulance there.
More when we get it.
