This spring, get ready for three magical candlelight concerts coming to York Minster.
Taking place in the Minster’s medieval Chapter House, the trio of concerts will create an immersive live experience with some recognisable songs and scores.
Hear the music of John Williams and Hans Zimmer (Thursday 25 May), Adele (Friday 26 May), and West End Musicals (Saturday 27 May) – all performed by a string quartet.
The concerts are presented by the events agency From The Fields.
A spokesperson said: “York Minster will be transformed under gentle candlelight.
“Attendees will be able to hear some of Adele’s most popular songs performed, as well as music from films such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Pirates of The Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, Inception and Superman.
“Get transported to the West End and hear the songs from some of the biggest musicals including Aladdin, West Side Story, Mary Poppins and Guys and Dolls.”
It promises to be a unique concert in York’s most stunning venue, and tickets are now on sale.
Tickets for each concert are £24 and are available via the York Minster website.
