This was the scene in York tonight after a car crashed into a shop in York.
Emergency services were called to Leeman Road near its junction with Garfield Terrace at about 8.45pm on Tuesday night.
It appears two cars had collided.
One car then crashed into the wall of the Premier N-Joy Supermarket, on the corner of Garfield Terrace and Kingsland Terrace.
Police, ambulance and fire crews from Acomb and York went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson told YorkMix there were three occupants in one car and one in the other.
All four were out when they arrived. They were all hurt and two were taken to hospital for treatment.
The fire service’s incident support unit from Tadcaster also went to the scene.
The car has made a significant hole in the brickwork and damaged the window of the shop.
Firefighters made the vehicles safe and requested that structural engineers came to survey the building.
The area was coned off by police, but the road remained open.
