Trains are back to normal after major disruption north of York on Sunday night.
A person was hit by a train in the Northallerton area. The line was closed to allow emergency services to safely attend the incident.
Inevitably that led to disruption to travel plans.
LNER reported trains running between York and Darlington were being cancelled or revised.
It said major disruption was expected until the end of Sunday.
The problems came after many rail services were cancelled on Saturday due to the latest RMT rail strike.
The problems continued till after midnight. But this morning (Monday, 20 March), LNER reported trains running normally again on the East Coast Main Line.
