A boy was hurt during an attempted robbery in York.
It happened on Heslington Road between 7pm and 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday, 22 January).
Two men assaulted the teenage boy and tried to steal his property. He suffered a minor facial injury, but managed to escape.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and remains in custody.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace a second suspect.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Investigators are appealing to anyone who was in the Heslington Road area on Sunday night and may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam, and to local residents who have private CCTV or doorbell cameras that may have caught the incident or the two suspects, to contact them.”
The two men were riding bikes at the time.
