The River Ouse is still rising this lunchtime (Friday, 13 January).
It had reached 3.79m by 11.30am at the city centre Viking Recorder. The forecast now is for the river to peak at 4.21m at 9.45am tomorrow. The top of the normal range is 1.9m.
The vast majority of the city is unaffected. Riverside walks including Terry Avenue and New Walk are underwater.
Rowntree Park is closed, although the water has not reached inside. If levels do reach 4m-plus it could be breached.
Skeldergate is completely clear of water but the side streets are flooded.
There remain three flood warnings and five flood alerts in and around York, with 19 flood alerts across North Yorkshire.
