A group of young filmmakers walked the red carpet at a big screen premiere of their own movies.
The under-18s dressed to impress as they were snapped going into the screening at Cineworld, Monks Cross.
They are all members of PQA York, the performing arts academy, and have been working on their cinema screening project for almost a year, writing, directing, filming and starring in their own short films.
PQA principal James Aconely said: ‘‘We are so proud of our fantastic students from PQA York.
“It was a real privilege to get to witness the students hard work shown on the big screen. It gives our students a real taste of their future if they would like to enter the film industry on or off screen.
‘It is important to us that our students experience a module that is industry-led, taught by professional filmmakers covering the craft of film and television, production, and screen acting.”
PQA is a weekend academy that provides tuition for young people from 4-18 years in comedy and drama and musical theatre as well as film and TV.
