Some of the greatest hunters the natural world has ever seen were in York today – and they soon tracked down the nearest sausage rolls.
Several dinosaurs took to the city centre, delighting the half-term crowds. And it wasn’t long before the velociraptor made a beeline for Greggs in St Sampson’s Square.
And if that wasn’t enough, the big fella then went for a walkabout in Costa Coffee on Parliament Street.
The Dinosaur Experience was in town thanks to the York BID (Business Improvement District).
Young and old were introduced to Scar the Spinosaurus, Bronwen the Brontosaurus and Loki the Velociraptor – along with a selection of cute baby dinosaurs.
Luckily rangers were on hand to keep the dinos in line.
If you missed them, the dinosaurs will be back in York tomorrow, from 2.30pm to 7pm.
