A bus company that serves York and North Yorkshire has announced changes to its timetable for next Monday, 19 September.
Transdev, which runs Cityzap, York & Country and Coastliner buses among others, will be running a reduced service to reflect that this has been declared a Bank Holiday.
It is to operate a Sunday service.
Transdev chief executive Alex Hornby said: “We have carefully considered the needs of our customers, many of whom will want to be with family on this day, along with our colleagues who will also wish to commemorate Her Majesty’s reign.
“A Sunday timetable will be in operation throughout our Yorkshire network on Monday, 19 September. Normal weekday timetables will resume the following day, Tuesday 20 September.”
Following the death of the Queen, Transdev buses have carried the simple message “Thank You, Ma’am”.
More details about the services are available on the Transdev website.
