Bright future for Ripon Grammar School students after outstanding GCSE results

Hard-working Ripon Grammar School students are celebrating outstanding GCSE results today.

The 129-strong year group rose to the challenges of the pandemic to claim a total of 601 top 9/8 grades (the equivalent of A*s).

Despite enduring two years of disruption to their education 69.9 percent of all grades awarded were 9-7 (A*-A)s with an impressive 94.5 per cent of all grades achieved being 9-5 (A*-B)s.

Among a number of exceptional performances amid an excellent set of overall results, are five students who were on cloud nine after achieving ten or more grade 9s, the equivalent of exceptionally high A*s.
