A new store is opening on one of York’s top shopping streets soon.
Fashion brand Porters is planning to open at number 9 Coney Street – the unit next to the Smiggle stationery shop.
It was previously occupied by shoe retailer Office, but has been empty for some time.
Porters already has shops in Harrogate and Ilkley. It says on its website: “We like to run shops, not websites.
“We like to see our customers face to face, have a beer or a Prosecco and a good old catch up!”
It is menswear fashion retailer stocking brands such as Carhartt, Fred Perry, Universal Works, Belstaff and Oliver Spencer.
