Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man seen acting suspiciously in Selby.
He is “causing concern in the area” after his behaviour at Selby Leisure Centre on a number of occasions.
The man was at the centre on Tuesday evening (26 July) “but has been spotted there on other occasions, usually between 7pm and 9pm,” police said.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “He’s reported to have been watching people using the facilities both within the leisure centre and the skate park and sports fields outside.
“On the evening of 26 July, he was approached by leisure centre staff and following this he left the area heading into Selby and then towards Selby Town Football Club.
“We’re appealing for anyone to get in touch if they have seen the man or if they have CCTV or dashcam footage of him.”
The man is described as:
- having a long dark beard
- wearing a blue jacket
- dark grey hoodie with the hood up
- jeans
- and brown shoes.
