There’s lots of disruption on the railways caused by the extreme temperatures.

Here are the latest updates from our area this morning (Monday).

LNER

Trains running at reduced speed today and no services south of York/Selby to London tomorrow.

HULL TRAINS

No services to London from Selby and Howden today. One return service is running but it’s diverted between Brough and Doncaster.

GRAND CENTRAL

Very limited service from Northallerton Thirsk and York to London. Check before you set off for the station.

NORTHERN

Speed restrictions and short notice changes to timetable. The line between Scarborough and Hull is currently blocked due to the severe weather.

TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS

Hull – Manchester Piccadilly via Selby and Redcar Central – Manchester Airport via Thirsk will not run over the next two days.

CROSSCOUNTRY

Only travel if your journey is essential.
