A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after being attacked in York city centre.
It happened outside The Micklegate pub between 11.35pm and 11.45pm on Wednesday 29 June.
A man assaulted the victim in what police are describing as an ‘unprovoked attack’, which knocked him to the floor.
Shortly after police arrived, the victim was taken to hospital by paramedics. He suffered from head injuries.
His assailant set off on foot onto Blossom Street.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
