This was what was left of a car following a crash in North Yorkshire today (Wednesday).
The Toyota Yaris was wrecked in the smash on Thistle Hill, Knaresborough, at about 9.19am.
No other vehicle was involved.
Firefighters from Harrogate and Knaresborough went to the scene. They used hydraulic cutters to free a man, aged 90, from the wreckage.
He was taken to hospital with knee, back and neck injuries.
An hour earlier, at 8.18am, fire crews were called to the junction of the A658 and B6164, Knaresborough, after a Tesla and a Vauxhall Corsa collided.
A woman was trapped in the Corsa by her injuries. She was cut free by firefighters and taken to hospital with back and neck injuries.
The Tesla driver “was not trapped and appeared uninjured,” said the fire service.
