Five people, including two children, who were arrested over an alleged stabbing in York have been released without charge, police said today.
They were arrested in connection with an incident on Archer Close in York at around 4.20pm on Saturday, 15 January.
Emergency services had gone to the street in response to a report of an assault on a man.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim, a 44-year-old man, had sustained injuries from a bladed article and was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
Two women, aged 40 and 18, a man aged 40 and two children aged 15 and 12, all from York, were arrested in connection with the incident.
The 40-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class A drugs.
Today, police issued an update: “This is an update in relation to a violent incident which happened on Saturday 15 January in York.

“All those arrested have been released with No Further Action and the victim has been updated.”
Two other men arrested in connection with the incident were released without charge soon afterwards.
At the time, witnesses told YorkMix that there had been a disturbance in the street involving a group of people. Police had asked one householder if they could view footage from their CCTV camera.
