North Yorkshire Police say a man from Leeds, arrested in connection with an incident in Thornton-Le-Dale near Pickering, has been charged with murder.
He is due to appear at York Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Saturday).
Officers were called to the property on High Street in the village shortly before 12pm on Wednesday and when they arrived they discovered that a woman had died.

A 33-year-old man was immediately arrested and taken into police custody.
Police say they believe the death to have been an isolated incident, adding: “You’ll continue to see a police presence in the local community so do feel free to speak to our officers if you have any concerns.”
